Xecta Achieves Amazon Web Services (AWS) Energy Competency Status

Recognition reinforces Xecta’s commitment to delivering scalable, cloud-native production surveillance and optimization solutions for upstream oil and gas operators.

Houston, Texas — May 20th, 2025 – Xecta, a leader in intelligent production optimization and surveillance software for the oil and gas industry, today announced that it has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Energy Competency. This designation recognizes Xecta’s deep expertise in helping energy customers accelerate their digital transformation, optimize production performance, reservoir management strategies, and drive operational excellence using cloud-native solutions built on AWS.

Achieving the AWS Energy Competency differentiates Xecta as an AWS Partner with demonstrated technical proficiency and customer success in the energy industry, specifically in the upstream segment. To receive this designation, AWS Partners must undergo a rigorous validation process, including technical assessments and customer references, to ensure they meet AWS’s highest standards for security, reliability, and performance.

Xecta’s software platform enables upstream operators to automate daily surveillance, optimize artificial lift, debottleneck surface network performance, and enhance production decision-making at scale. At the core of the platform is a hybrid modeling engine that combines AI and physics-based methods to simulate and optimize reservoir, well, and surface network performance. Built natively on AWS, the Xecta platform leverages a range of services — including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC), Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) — to ensure scalable, secure, and high-availability deployments across global operations.

Achieving the AWS Energy Competency validates our ability to deliver high-quality production insights at pace for time-to-value and extraordinary scale not seen before, said Sanjay Paranji, CEO at Xecta. By combining deep engineering domain expertise with a lightweight, cloud-native massively parallel architecture, we help operators align daily decisions with real-world field conditions—quickly, accurately, and across thousands of wells, pipelines and surface facilities that process fluids.

AWS enables scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions for upstream production optimization. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Energy Competency Program to help customers identify validated AWS Partners with deep industry experience and a proven track record of success.
